Alt-H now brings up "Highlights"???
I'm sure this is a computer problem other than Keycreator, but hoping someone knows where to fix it.
I believe a recent update of SOMETHING on my computer has caused my Alt-H function (halfscale) to become a toggle for something called "Highlights reel"
Whenever I try to use it, a small black window momentarily slides over from the lower right corner of my screen, and either sais "Highlights reel has started" or "Highlights reel has stopped" Toggling Alt-H goes between the two modes. There is a small image in the box that looks like a game controller possibly. Yes, I have an Xbox app on this new computer, but I don't use it. I could not find anywhere where it looked like it was coming from.
I should also note that it happens no matter what program I have open at the time, or even any program at all. It's like it has become an over-riding functional command for my computer.
I have momentarily set "Alt-J" to my half scale command, however, 31 years of using the Alt-H key has taken it's toll on automating my motor function when I want to halfscale something. LOL

RE:Alt-H now brings up "Highlights"???
A Highlight Reel is a compilation of
video clips
and
photographs
, similar to a
multimedia slideshow
, meant to summarize an event, personality or phenomenon.
Have you installed any new app that would to that ?

RE:Alt-H now brings up "Highlights"???
Hi Francis,
I have not installed anything new in quite some time. I did read this description before, but was unable to determine if this was what it was talking about. I don't see anywhere that it is saving any photos or video reels, or any way to tell it to store them a specific place or any other information like that. So if it is in fact recording something, I have no idea what, or where it is putting it. There are no new files in my photos or videos folder either.

RE:Alt-H now brings up "Highlights"???
By default Alt+H is unassigned. So it shouldnb't do anything other than explaned the help menu from the menu bar.
But it is is opening an app outside of KeyCreator, then I would say this in a Windows thing perhpas. Do you have anything running in your system tray that may be triggered by Alt+H?

RE:Alt-H now brings up "Highlights"???
For example, a few years back I was using a USB to VGA adapter in order to add an additional display to my PC setup. The software for this adapter installed an app that ran in the system tray. The app had shortcuts (alt+number keys) to toggle between the displays. These shortcuts overrode KeyCrearor's shortcuts for changing display views. So I had to go into the adapter's app and disable those shortcuts.

RE:Alt-H now brings up "Highlights"???
I just found out that it is "Intel Arc Control" that is the culprit. I finally found a Reddit thatt alks about how they have createda problem by using Alt+ commands that can not be over ridden and this is causing people to uninstall it. I actually didn't install it on purpose. It was a factor of my intel card doing an auto update and doing it itself.
I have uninstalled the program and am now back to working as before.
Thank you,
- Jason
