Convert to Parasolid
Hi all I have an issue that perhaps someone has come across and has a resolve. My customer has insisted that I provide my designs in a parasolid format os opposed to STEP as I have done for years. My designs can get fairly large with several hundred solids and fasteners 250 to 750 MB in size.
Being old school ( besides being actually old) I design as level based as opposed to an assembly. I use various levels and sub levels with sub levels
My Customer uses Solid works
To translate my files I do as follows ---- Assembly - level to reference - the open the created file - then export to XT or XB
The problem I am encountering is that the '" Text" in the Part references tree of the Sub levels does not come thru in Solid works .
Kubotek feels it may have to do with the format of the level numbers ex : 4.4.1 It doesnt like the periods.
Has anyone come across this or have a work around or solution?
