Layouts

Running the lastest and greatest 14.0 64 bit. Having one devil of a time with missing entities in the layout, many iterations of ghosts, colors change on the entities with no rhyme or reason. I have files in the tree window dissapear and older files under different names that I have discarded when redoing a damaged file reappear at will. I can't get my work done for having to go back and clean up crap. Anyone seen this happen?

I know it is getting close to Halloween but this ghost thing is getting to me.
