Feature Request & Question
What is Pen number used for?
I would love to see a feature added that allowed me to print everthing in Pen 1 as Black and everthing in Pen 2 as screen color.
(I know i can set Pen 2 to a single color in the print settings.)

RE:Feature Request & Question
Greetings,
Although this is not a direct option it can easily be done:
1. Create a new level named "Pen 1 Black"
2. Copy all pen 1 entities to that new level (right click on the new level. Select "copy entities to level, all displayed by type, and select pen 1 on the masking popup screen).
3. Un-display that new "Pen 1 Black" level.
4. Select Edit (menu bar), Entities, Blank. Choose all displayed , all.
5. Display the "Pen 1 Black" level. Select Edit, Change attributes. Select black color, and All, All.
6. Now un-display "Pen 1 Black" level again.
7. Select Edit (menu bar), Entities, Unblank. Choose all, all.
8. Select Edit (menu bar), Entities, Blank. Choose all displayed by type; select pen 1.
-Now all Pen 1 entities are not displayed.
9. Display "Pen 1 Black" level.
-Your Pen 1 entites are redisplayed but in black color.
10. Print by screen color!
Record a macro if this is a feature you need ongoing.
All the best,
Mike

RE:Feature Request & Question
BTW, a pen number is from the days when plotting was done on a pen plotter. Each physical pen would be loaded into the print head usually by a carousel mechanism. Each pen could be a different line weight and/or color.
Inkjets changed all that.
