DWG/DXF-export 2D, "flatted 3D"

Hi,

About 10 years I am solved this problem, but looks must use any other tool in this problem. Or... anyone can help?

When make laser-cutted part, need 2D. It is, I make product "sandwich" and all parts are really 2D. But, reason of easy desing, must make 3D.

So, I make geometry. Then subcontractor take stainless steel plate. Or, plastic. Or. Or. And cut this geometry. Sometimes subcontrator use low-energy-laser-cutter, "120 watt" and cut plastic. He open my dwg in Corel or any other vector graphig program.

Problem is, dwg/dxf is 3D. "Burst". "Layoutmode, export". Make all what you want, effect is same. Open it dwg/dxf in vector graphic program: You can see, there is many lines: You can see one line, but when you start  cutting, it laser cutter make several lines...

SO: IT IS NO ANY WAY EXPORT PURE FLATTEN 2D DWG/DXF!!!!

How I solve this problem today?
Layer "partxyz_2D", and Layer "partxyz_3D". First I make this 2D, then copy it to 3D. With this 3D I can build product, test, make modeling etc etc. But, simultaneouslly, manually I update this "2D" reason I can cut it.

Is this truth? In Kc there is no any way export PURE flat 2D? Notify: LAYOUT MODE DXF/DWG EXPORT IS REALLY NOT FLATTEN. It is "bursted".

So, still, again, from years to years: How I can export pure, clear, as hand-draw-2D????

RE:DWG/DXF-export 2D, "flatted 3D"
Hi Jukka,

It appears that you are looking to export from Layout mode.

From Layout mode choose "File export DXF"

Select your instance to export.

When the dialog box appears select "Options" at the bottom.

Check the box  "From layout mode export to 2D model space"

And save!  It should work just fine.

All the best,
Mike
