transparenancy
I got few soild in one file(not an assembly file) from customer
try to rendering (shading ) with one part tranparency  to understand better
Key creator  had no option for partial tranparency or single part tranparent shading
Is any other way to view transparent without assembly ?
Thanks

RE:transparenancy
Hi Nathan,

You have a lot of flexibility in how individual parts are rendered within the same drawing.   Assembly files are not necessary for this.

1.  In the menu bar select "Edit"/ "Edit" and a properties panel will appear.  Select "Rendering".  You can select for any part how you wish it rendered.  You can mix solid wireframe, shaded solid, tranparent solid, etc.  You can even set certain bumpmap graphical properities such as diamond-plate and others.

2.  Fifth tab over in the layers panel is "Materials".  Drag and drop a transparent block onto the part you wish to affect.

Hope this helps,

Mike

RE:transparenancy
Generic edit, select a solid.  Rendering, check "set material rendering", then check "transparency".  There is a slider there for the level of transparency.

Or, use the "Change Transparency" function... there you can enter the amount of transparency, and apply it to entire solids or just individual faces.  Not sure what menu that one's in, I have it as a toolbar icon.
