Keycreator slowing down problem
When I open a new window keycreator is fast, as expected. But as I keep on working on the model, after a while, commands start slowing down significantly. Manipulating and rotating in 3D is still fast, but any command is slow. Even just drawing a line.

I cannot see a pattern as to what is leading to the problem. Could it be a cache problem - can I clear the cache somehow.

I know it is not from importing non-native files.

Computer specs: (windows 10)

RE:Keycreator slowing down problem
I may add, if I close the window and re-open it, then it is running normal speed again. The slowing down is only after confirmation of a command that changes the model - i e if I trim, the trim will appear immediately but the program goes into "processing" mode and I can do nothing for a few seconds until it finishes, what I presume is "updating".

RE:Keycreator slowing down problem
I also notice on Task manager that the total CPU usage at the time of the delay in keycreator was only using 20% CPU, 36% memory and not maxed out on the graphics card memory either.

RE:Keycreator slowing down problem
OK, so now I find it is every time after a "save" of the file that it starts going slow. If I close the file and re-open it is fast again. Any ideas?

RE:Keycreator slowing down problem
Hi Bert,

Sorry to hear of your issues.

In my experience, anomolies are generally the result of the video driver settings.

In menu bar go to TOOLS, App Options, Display, Graphics Card.

Play around with the different options (ie Open GL 1, 2 etc).

BUT this really should be referred to Tech Support if you have not already done so.

Wishing you success,

Mike

RE:Keycreator slowing down problem
Hi Michael, I have tried every graphics option, and then maybe twice. At leat I have it narrowed down to "saving"  which triggers the slowing down.

Never had the issue on previous versions.

I shall take you advice and refer it to tech support. Thanks for the advice.

RE:Keycreator slowing down problem
This has turned out to be a one sided conversation, but I will continue in the hope that it will help somebody else out.

Turns out the problem occurs every time after saving a large file. I then have to close and re-open the file to get back up to speed. It looses me a fair bit of productivity.

My information is that this is a known issue, and is being addressed. Thank you for that.

I am surprised that I am the first one to raise this on the forum, and only received feedback from Michael. Tech support does not follow the forum?
