WIN11 update Prevents KC file saving
WIN11 auotomatic updating
Installed yesterday KB2565063
KC error  -2147024516 (0x8007017C)

KC pro 2026 SP0

After Uninstalling the Update, KC works normally.

Any other solution ?

Hello Yigal,

Does this error happen when saving to one drive or any local folder on your machine?

The error code you listed appears to be a "one drive" error code which may point to this being a Microsft issue. 

We are continuing to investigate in the meantime.

Hello RAM.<br /> <br /> I work with Dropbox, so I save to my HDD, and it is synchronized with Dropbox automaticaly.<br /> When I had the problem, I stopped Dropbox sync. for 30 minutes, same error.<br /> Started a new file, same error.<br /> <br /> I don&#39;t use One drive, but I think that it is in my computer, built in WIN11.<br /> <br />

I think I have the same problem. CKDesignFileDoc::error code - 2147024516 (0x8007017C)

Thanks again for reporting this significant issue, we have been able to reproduce it. We are seeing that same error number reported by the latest version of KeyCreator Pro (2026 SP0) when trying to re-save a file to OneDrive version Build 25.238.1204.0001. Older versions of KeyCreator may have the same problem but not report that specific error code. 
 
Saving files to a local hard drive in the latest version of Windows 11 (Version 10.0.26200 Build 26200) does not appear to be a problem.Saving files to OneDrive under a new name also appears to work fine. 
 
We will post here with updates after investigating this further.

I also use OneDrive. KC2024 gave the exact same message. I was able to save to other filenames, but you would have to use a different name each time. Rolling back the Win11 update solved the issue.
