Shell entity?
I'm trying to import a .stl file from an inspection system. Using the default settings, it comes in as a "shell entity" with about 40,000,000 polygons, but I don't see that I can do anything with it. I'd like to create splines by sectioning it, but I don't see any way? If I try to import it as a sheet body KC locks up and I have to crash out.

RE:Shell entity?
Dana,
When I worked at Blades Technology I had something simmilar.
I sent the polygons to Zvika Greenberg and he turned them into a regular surface.
But I don't remember which program he used.

RE:Shell entity?
It might have been FastSurf back in the Cadkey days, that was when Zvi was active. I do remember that it was possible to convert a polygon mesh to a surface back then, and I was using FastSurf at the time..
