thanks for the reply.

Maybe I am confused, the reason I keep setting CP=DV is that it solves an issue I have with dimensions and lines not displaying in th correct plane. Often I will draw a Line Vertical (V) or place a dimension say in the XY plane and it will not display in the XY plane but in the XZ plane. 
If I the set CP=DV and repeat the Line Vertical etc. then it displays in the correct plane.

Am I missing another setting to correct this?
