KC 20
Let me start by thanking the development team for being innovative and coming up with real improvements, to what was already the fastet to use CAD. You certainly have my support for that.

Comments so far:
I experience a lag when I want to select parts - The select tool first selects the part that the mouse is over, and I have to wait a second or so before the new left or right drag select tool (great idea) becomes available. Is that something I can change settings for?

The new version seems to have solved my speed issue after saving a file - thanks for that.

The "verify mass" properties feature requires you to have entered a part material type for each part to get a total mass (also in v19). In older versions you could simply enter a single kg/cubm for all parts in the total tab - it saves time. I do not always want to allocate material while designing - that is kind-of a parametric thinking style. Could that feature be changed please?

RE:KC 20
I love the new trim functionality.

I do find scrolling to zoom in and out is slow sometimes, but not always.

RE:KC 20
I just had a file error message - right after exporting a 3d pdf. The file opened OK once I closed asnd reloaded KC.

RE:KC 20
Definitely prefer the old level tree colour scheme - my eye finds the level I am looking for easier than with the gray scale - can I set that somewhere?

RE:KC 20
There is a delay when you want to use the selct tool. Maybe it is only on large assemblies - but it was not there before this release. Same with the hesitation with scrolling. It is slowing me down.

It concerns me that I am the only one posting about the new release - am I the only user - is there no keycreator support reading this - this forum it is colder than a fish, to be frank.

RE:KC 20
Hi Bert,

You are not alone!  Yes the forum activity is and has been very low.  Will have to check out the Linked-In group.

I have been playing with this new release on the home computer.  Have not done any real work with it yet.   Some of the features are welcome additions but way back when (1984-5) Cadkey became my preferred platform over AutoCad beacause of all the keystrokes saved.   Slowly the efficiency is creeping the wrong way but it still pays the bills!

This forum is not regularly monitored by the KC team.  Would love to see some UI enhancements such as dark mode (I prefer a black working screen- but the toolbars and pallets are windows default) and a transparent selection box.  They streamlined it but it still takes up real estate.  The window select box -all in and part in- is very good but Acad had this in 2000.  Maybe there was a patent issue or something that made it possible only now.

The select tool has been slower  than my mouse for the past few releases.  Hopefully KC can throw some of their code development resources to optimizing the product.  They seem to be at speed with the Kosmos powered products so it is clear that they have the brain power to fix up KC.

All the best,
Mike

RE:KC 20
Thanks Mike, I will check out the LinkdIn group. I have been using KC since 1994 - then of course Cadkey.

Hi Mike, I tried to join the LinkIn group but had no response.

Any advice?

RE:KC 20
Same here.  Thought it is was active.  Will send email to KC marketing and see if they can clarify.    The lack of ongoing forum activity (execpt for this last day) is strange.

RE:KC 20
Thanks Mike

I find the lag when Iwant to scroll in to zoom quite frustrating - slows me down a fair bit. Was not present in the previous version. Same with the select tool.

I do wonder if the developers ever test on large file assemblies?

But then again - they do not want to talk to anybody, so it is a retorical question. One would have thought KC would be interested in constructive feedback!?
