2017 V15.0.1 "Not Responding" way more often
I have found that working in this new version, it will fail MUCH more often than it used to. And when I say "fail" I mean it will simply stop responding, as though it is thinking about doing something, but NEVER respond and just sit and stall ALL the time. I am ready to go back to an older version just to recoup some of the lost time I have from killing the program and starting over from what I just lost. And it's not just related to one file or one command. So I can not pinpoint it to anything particular.
Anyone else noticing this same behavior?

Thanks,
- Jason

RE:2017 V15.0.1 "Not Responding" way more often
What we NEED is a way to interupt the "thinking" process to be able to tell the program to stop trying to do whatever it is at any given moment. That way, we don't lose our entire history of Undo/Redo management.
Just this morning I was trying to remove some features and it can't do it. But rather than tell me that it can't do it, it just sits there spinning away with no way to stop it, other than going into my Task Manager and killing the program, thus losing any data since my last save as well as my Undo management that I was REALLY needing to utilize at this point if removing the features didn't work.
Now, if I could only tell the program to "Stop trying to do whatever it is your trying to do" and regain my control, I could utilize my undo history and not lose hours of work trying to re-design to get to where I am now.
And hitting the escape key just turns the screen a dull grey.

Try using both:
The Autosave (I have it every 45 min)
and Copy Backup (I save constantly).

Tool / Options / Save

RE:2017 V15.0.1 "Not Responding" way more often
Thanks Manolo. I do use both of those. My autosave is set for every 30 minutes. Sometimes I have to turn it off and then when I forget to turn it back on it is a problem. Sometimes I have to make the autosaves even longer apart depending on the file size I am saving. Some of my files take quite a while to autosave, and when I am sitting in front of the customer as he waits for my system, it can get embarassing. (I do have a very powerful system. It's just that some of my files are huge.)
Regardless of these two features, When it locks up, I am still out the Undo/Redo management and that gets rather frustrating. My goal is to keep this "history" going regardless of file interuptions.
The best case scenario would be to keep the history (Undo/Redo management) even when you close a file and re-start it.

Just crashed and burned yet again. What a joke! Lost everything since my last save INCLUDING all my Undo/Redo management. Are we having fun yet!?

RE:2017 V15.0.1 "Not Responding" way more often
I am not.
I believe it is related to "Complex" geometery. The parts I am working on now have custom created threading (therefore complex helixes and splines) and it absolutley hates it. I can work on a huge plastic injection mold with hundreds of components and it won't skip a beat. But it does seem to me to be way more sensative to the complex geometry than it used to be in the older versions.
I just had a nice conversation with another Keycreator user who mentioned going to the next version (15.5 I think) might help. I am going to try this for a while and see how it responds to my complex geometry.
