"Unable to load KCore.dll"
"Unable to load KCore.dll Execution can not continue"
This is the message I am getting trying to open Keycreator 2019. I was using it fine this morning, and did a restart of my system. I was backing up a lot of jobs from my jobs folder to an exteranal chip. No other files were accessed or touched. Just job folders. I have never seen this before and I have been using this software just fine without issue for many, many years.
Upon restarting my system this morning, this message came up and I can no longer get into my software. I can open 2017 just fine.
I am in the middle of a 6 hour backup and do not want to interupt that to restart my system again.
Any ideas what happened or how to get around this as I have a customer waiting on me.
I already tried calling support, but they never answer and I always have to wait for a call back. Trying to get some answers in the mean time.
Thanks.

RE:"Unable to load KCore.dll"
Hi Jason. Just got your voice message and I saw you posted this on the forum too.
Check your antivirus software. Usually I see this message when the antivirus software thinks KeyCreator is malicious and blocks the DLLs from loading.

Hi Chris, Thanks. I disabled my Avast for 10 minutes and tried to open it and got the asme results. Is this an accurate test of the antivirus?

RE:"Unable to load KCore.dll"
I have never used the software but I found this info online about creating an exception.
Open Avast Antivirus and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings. Select General ▸ Exceptions, then click Add exception. Add an exception in one of the following ways: Type the specific file/folder path or URL into the text box, then
click Add
exception.

RE:"Unable to load KCore.dll"
So I just cancelled the jobs backup and restarted the computer, and it (KC19) opens without issue. It must not like me copying files across a network while trying to open Keycreator at the same time. I will just have to finish my backups tonight while I am sleeping.
